RG Construction was selected as the framing and drywall risk reward major trade partner for this IPD project with the Cleveland Clinic. During Schematic Design, RG identified an opportunity to provide a volumetric modular alternative to stick building 44 PI and Tissue Culture labs, which represented approximately 16% of the total interior partitions within the CBB Building of the Cleveland Clinic Innovation District. This opportunity also transferred 18,000 trade labor hours from the jobsite and fully incorporated all of the electrical and mechanical systems within the room. Simply put these 44 rooms were built and set with a total of 9 tradesmen vs. a stick-built option would of required over 30 tradesman to execute the work. Likewise, by executing this volumetric opportunity the team picked up 48 crew days in the construction schedule related to the completion of CBB.
